The Silent Struggles

As salaamu ‘alaykum السلام عليكم

🌕Ramadhaan arrives each year with blessings and good hopes.

🌕The masaajid are filled. The Qur’aan is recited. The tables are set. Smiles are exchanged. And from the outside, it appears that everyone is moving forward together in strength, discipline, and devotion.

🌕But there is another Ramadhaan that exists quietly.

🌕It lives in the hearts of those who are struggling silently.

🌕It lives in the chest of the believer who stands in prayer while battling waves of anxiety no one else notices.

🌕It lives in the body of the one who breaks their fast due to illness, swallowing not only water, but also disappointment.

🌕It lives in the eyes of the one who smiles at iftaar while carrying grief for someone no longer sitting at the table.

🌕It lives in the mother who is physically exhausted, the father carrying unseen burdens, the student fighting private sadness, the believer whose heart feels heavy while their tongue still says, “Alhamdulillaah.”

🌕These are the silent struggles.

And while people may not see them, Allaah does.

🌕Allaah sees the one who intended to fast but could not.

🌕Allaah sees the one who intended to stand long in prayer but was overcome by weakness.

🌕Allaah sees the one who continues to remember Him through tears.

🌕Allah sees the one who feels broken but refuses to let go of Him.

Allah says:

"Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear."

(Qur’an 2:286)

🌕Even your exhaustion has been accounted for.

🌕Even your pain has been written with wisdom.

🌕Ramadhaan is not only the month of strength. It is also the month of challenges.

🌕Not every victory in Ramadhaan looks like completing the Qur’aan.

🌕Some victories look like continuing to offer du‘aa when your heart feels empty.

🌕Some victories look like choosing patience instead of despair.

The Prophet said:

"No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim even if it were the prick of a thorn except that Allah expiates some of his sins for it."

(Bukhari & Muslim)

•Your struggles are not wasted.

•It is purification.

•It is elevation.

•It is seen.

🌕And perhaps on the Day when all secrets are revealed  the heaviest deeds on the scale will not be the ones people applauded, but the patience you carried when no one knew.

🌕So if this Ramadhaan finds you struggling silently, know this:

•Allaah knows.

•Allaah sees.

•Allaah records.

•And Allaah rewards. Everything is for Him AlHamdulillaah.

🌕Be sincere and do your best. Baarak Allaahu Feekum بارك الله فيكم
