“Allaah Knows What’s In Our Hearts.”

🩶This is a statement that is often thrown around when people try to evade accountability.

🩶However, although it is often used as a statement of defense, it still a very true statement.

🩶So I’d like to just bring awareness about how we should actually use this statement in a positive way and not in a defensive non-accountable way.

🩶One of Allaah ‘s names is Al-‘Aleem, the all Knowing.

“…And Allah is Knowing of what you do.”

(Qur’an 2:283)

🩶Allaah knowing everything means that He really does know what is in our hearts.

🩶So we may be able to present ourselves in one way to the people, but inside of our hearts is what we will be judged upon.

🩶Some people work very hard to “keep face” with everyone, but we need to switch that to making more effort to work on what is in our heart because that is what counts the most.

🩶The question then arises

“what is in our hearts?”

🩶We must be embarrassed at times as to the condition of our heart in the sight of Allaah.

🩶Our true intentions on a daily basis of why we do the things that we do even when they are good deeds.

🩶Also, the lack of staying away from various sins and why our hearts may incline to those sins are all matters of the heart that Allaah surely knows.

🩶For those struggling with things every day internally, Allaah knows that too. The reward and the blessings for your fight within your heart that no one else knows except Allaah, will be rewarded.

🩶This statement:

“Allaah knows what’s in my heart” is a declaration that we do not have to answer to others about what is inside of our heart.

🩶Rather, we ought to strive for the one who knows all, and keep striving to do the best we can everyday sincerely for Allaah.

🩶Be honest and sincere when talking with Allaah. Do not feel that you need to hold back from Him since He already knows what’s in the heart as it is. And also do not assume that you should not speak sincerely to Allaah since He already knows what is in the hearts. Just be yourself. You cannot hide from Allaah.
