Juwayriyyah Bint Haarith رضي الله عنها

•Juwayriyyah Bint Haarith was a source of freedom and guidance to Islaam due to her marriage to the prophet ﷺ

•She was from the Baani MustalaQ tribe and was the daughter to the head chief of

this tribe.

•She grew up with all of the luxuries of a princess.

•She was refined, intelligent, kind, wise, beautiful, elegant, graceful, she mastered language and literary style.

•She was previously married to a young man named Mustapha bin Safwaan but he died in the war against the Muslims. The same war in which Juwayriyyah was given as a slave from the spoils of war to the Muslims.

•700 of Juwayriyyah’s tribesman were captured as spoils of war, 2,000 camels and 5,000 goats.

•Juwayriyyah was first given to the famous companion Thaabit Ibn Qays Ansaari.

•The first chance she got she went to the prophet ﷺ to plead her case that she was a princess and now turned slave due to the war. From the throne to dust 😔.

•Upon hearing her situation the prophet ﷺ offered to free her and make her one of the mothers of the believers as his wife. She happily accepted this offer and it was more than she could’ve ever imagined AlHamdulillaah.

•Upon marrying the prophet ﷺ , this caused those who captured Juwayriyyah’s رضيالله عنها people as slaves to be set free being that she was now the prophets ﷺ wife who would want to enslave his wife’s people?!

•Thereafter Allaah guided her people to Islaam. So now Juwayriyyah’s people were free AND Muslim! SubHaanAllaah 🎉 🎈 🎊
