💍 Marriage is a Career.

💍 I cannot jump up tomorrow and be a doctor without going to school.

💍 I cannot become a lawyer and practice law without having had learned this skill.

💍 So why do people think they can be good husbands and wives without ever learning what it takes to be one?

💍 Why do people spend their entire lives invested into their careers, schooling, working, etc but then feel like they can “easily” raise a family without any training on doing such?

💍 One reason is because the family dynamic is looked at as inferior in comparison to the worldly affairs such as earning a degree.

💍 Some view family life as:

“I’ll learn about it as I go along.”

💍 Well this concept is what destroys marriages and families.

💍 Not willing to take the same energy, time, and resources to learn how to be a spouse, a parent, a shepherd to your flock is why so many families are ruined.

💍 Being married is like any other career. It’s a part of life that you learn and must invest time and efforts long term.

💍 For those who are unable to do such, then understand that you cannot practice any career or skillset without the knowledge of how to do so.

💍 You should be willing to listen and learn.

💍 Take some pre-marital courses.

💍 Take marital courses if you’re already married.

💍 Sit under those successfully married couples and learn from them because they are the scholars of marriage!

💍 Take from those who are divorced and learn from their mistakes. They’ve been there done that and have benefits to share as well.

💍 Take marriage serious like you do earning a degree and earning your paycheck!!!

💍 Marriage is an integral part of life, community, society and nations. May Allaah help us Aameen 🤲🏼
